For those who are interested in our Workshops, why not take advantage of our comfortable, well lit studio upstairs, depending on the course there are 6 to 10 places available which ensures dedicated attention to you in all classes! Due to the size of the courses please book and pay early to avoid disappointment, all prices are per person per session! The workshop is also available for hire for Craft Birthday Parties! Nearest all day parking is available at the Water Meadow Car Park, just off the Red Lion Street Roundabout.

Kirigami for beginners - 10am to 12.30pm £10/person with Andrea West
Learn how to cut a simple kirigami lace´ style background with scissors. The kirigami technique that we will be using is similar to how you cut snow flakes when you were at school. We will then fold the paper to complete the design. If you have already attended the quilling and kirigami class you can choose different patterns. Please bring a pair of small but robust scissors, a choice of small embellishments (e.g. gems, ribbon flowers - there is plenty of choice in the shop) and your usual card making equipment i.e. craft mat, craft knife/scissors, pencil, ruler, eraser etc.

Sue is a lovely lady who has studied art and design at A level. She has always stitched as a hobby originally clothes and household items. Later embellishing and designing her own hand and machine stitched items. Over the years she has continued with cross stitch and counted thread work including her own designs. More recently Sue has studied City & Guilds level 3 in Creative Embroidery and is currently completing level 3 in Machine Embroidery. She has also studied other courses in various textile based genres with many tutors in different centres around the country. Come along to meet Sue & discover some new stitches, choose 6 and make a delightful panel to either frame or use as the front for a book cover.

Back by popular demand! On this lovely course you will learn to make an antique reproduction bear with June McGee, who is a highly accomplished doll & teddy maker. You will be using 100% mohair. The bear will be fully jointed with a trimmed muzzle and embroidered nose & paws.
The complete kit includes - 100% Mohair, 5-piece joint set, eyes, wood wool, thread, choice of paw & sole fabrics, stuffing & technique sheets. Because of the intensity in making these bears, they will be cut out and marked ready for you to machine sew. Techniques in cutting the Mohair will be demonstrated. These are antique reproductions and are collector's pieces so not meant for children's toys. Please book soon to avoid disappointment! Class Fee - £65 for a 2 day course plus Kit Fee £30.
