Workshops

For those who are interested in our Workshops, why not take advantage of our comfortable, well lit studio upstairs, depending on the course there are 6 to 10 places available which ensures dedicated attention to you in all classes! Due to the size of the courses please book and pay early to avoid disappointment, all prices are per person per session! The workshop is also available for hire for Craft Birthday Parties! Nearest all day parking is available at the Water Meadow Car Park, just off the Red Lion Street Roundabout.

Intermediate Knitting-Mitred Squares-Scarf; Cushion or Blanket with Ruth Huddle-1.30pm to 4.30pm £12/person
Are you returning to knitting or just wanting to improve - Come along to these new Intermediate Knitting Classes. You will need to be able to cast on & off, Knit & Purl to join this class. You will learn to read a pattern, knit a swatch and adapt it to the tension required in the pattern. Increase & Decrease and start this interesting pattern.

Card Making with Jane Marbaix - 10am to 12pm £14.50/person
Those of you who have already been on Jane's workshops will know what gorgeous cards are achieved! Further details on what you will be doing will follow! Please bring your regular card making equipment with you i.e. craft mat, craft knife/scissors, pencil, ruler, eraser, aswell as a guillotine or Trimmer, if you have one (saves time waiting to borrow one) black dye based inkpad and black pigment inkpad. Please book early as Jane's classes are very popular!

Jewellery Making with Jan MacDonald - 10.30am to 1pm £17/person
You will recognise Jan from the shop. She has been a jewellery maker for some years now & she will be sharing her Jewellery making know-how with you. You will learn all about the tools & findings as well as how they are used. Further details to follow with regards to what will be made. Silver Plated findings are supplied, but Sterling Silver is available on request, at an extra cost).

An Introduction into the World of Wire Wrapping with Claire Hutchins - 1.30m to 4pm £17/person
Make a delicate silver plated wire spiral hanging pendant. Weave pearls or beads of your choice onto your spiral to make a really beautiful pendant which could also be used as a hanging decoration or light catcher. Further wire wrapping workshops will take you on to make unique pendants earrings and bracelets. Come and discover your creative side. Tools and materials will be supplied. There is a sample on display in the shop window.

Card Making using CD-Roms - 10am to 4pm £24/person includes lunch with Jackie Collins
Have we intrigued you already?? Full details will be available soon! Please bring your regular card making equipment with you i.e. craft mat, craft knife/scissors, pencil, ruler, eraser etc. You will be using CD Rom designs from a Laptop computer, then printing and making your cards. If you have any, please bring with you your Card Making CDs too. We will be using a laptop and wireless printer.

Encaustic Art - 10am to 4pm £24/person includes lunch with Jackie Collins
Ever wanted to know about Encaustic Art? Is there such a thing as instant art? Encaustic paint is a wax and pigment mixture applied to a shiny surfaced card with a hot tool and produces most beautiful colours and forms. Jackie will show you how to use small irons to apply wax to art card, aswell as encorporating Rubber Stamps into the process! Artistic skill is not necessary - you will surprise yourself as you produce pictures that are stunning to look at. What you produce can be framed or used as unusual greetings cards etc. This is a very popular class, so please book early! Please bring an apron with you!
