Come along to meet Christine our new teacher of Parchment Craft! This session will cover the basic tracing and embossing, and will cover perforating and cutting, then colouring with Dorso crayons and stippling. With each session we plan to develop a different skill. The aim would be to produce a card in each lesson using the skills which you have learnt.

Concentrating on Glamourous Ladies Stamps, these lovely stamps lend themselves to lots of exciting techniques which Jane will show you! Please bring any card making equipment which you might have i.e. craft mat, craft knife/scissors, pencil, ruler, eraser etc. as well as a black pigment ink pad like Versafine aswell as any coloured pads & any scraps of pretty patterned paper you may have. Creative Hand Embroidery - 6 Stitch Sampler Book Cover - 10am to 4pm £20/person with Sue Judd
Sue is a lovely lady who has studied art and design at A level. She has always stitched as a hobby originally clothes and household items. Later embellishing and designing her own hand and machine stitched items. Over the years she has continued with cross stitch and counted thread work including her own designs. More recently Sue has studied City & Guilds level 3 in Creative Embroidery and is currently completing level 3 in Machine Embroidery. She has also studied other courses in various textile based genres with many tutors in different centres around the country. Come along to meet Sue & discover some new stitches, choose 6 and make a delightful panel to either frame or use as the front for a book cover.

Watercolour with Mary Pomeroy - 10am to 2.30pm £27.50/person includes lunch
This session follows on from the March session, but will concentrate on sunset skies in landscapes and once again flowers to explore paint marks needed to create interesting detail. Ideal for beginners & intermediate artists alike. Sessions will include - follow along demonstrations of techniques that will lead to at least one picture each time. An excellent opportunity to come to meet like minded people & have your watercolour questions answered. Materials needed are watercolour paints, brushes and watercolour paper 140 lb weight is ideal. Classical Bear Making Course - 9.30am to 4pm with June McGee
Back by popular demand! On this lovely course you will learn to make an antique reproduction bear with June McGee, who is a highly accomplished doll & teddy maker. You will be using 100% mohair. The bear will be fully jointed with a trimmed muzzle and embroidered nose & paws. The complete kit includes - 100% Mohair, 5-piece joint set, eyes, wood wool, thread, choice of paw & sole fabrics, stuffing & technique sheets. Because of the intensity in making these bears, they will be cut out and marked ready for you to machine sew. Techniques in cutting the Mohair will be demonstrated. These are antique reproductions and are collector's pieces so not meant for children's toys. Please book soon to avoid disappointment! Class Fee - £65 for a 2 day course plus Kit Fee £30.
