National Plastic Bag Free Day!
Saturday 12 September 2009
We turned our Workshop into a "Sweatshop" again, holding 6 MorsBag pods, making re-usable bags, so that we had plenty of bags to give away on National Plastic Bag Free day Saturday 12th September!
Thanks has to go to Di Bovingdon, Annie Broad, Ronnie Brown, Pam Dwight, Danelle Johnston, Kay Lockie, Sandra Milton, Moreen Picknell, Rosemary Southam & Pat Thompson.
The girls from the Plastic Bag Free Chesham Campaign gave out over 125 on the day & over 30 were given out beforehand to some shops in Amersham! If you would like more information about this campaign take a peek at - www.PlasticBagFreeChesham.co.uk
& http://www.morsbags.com/
Would you like to get involved in our next Morsbag Pod? Do you have a portable Sewing Machine? Can you use a pair of Scissors? Did you answer Yes to at least one of these questions? Then get intouch and have a chat! Let’s do something positive to reduce the hideous number of plastic bags being used! We still have some bags to hand out & we plan to make some more intime for the Victorian Christmas Shopping Evening in Chesham in November!
